10 Self Care Tips
The holidays are a joyous time and one of my favorite times of the year. However for many of us it can be hectic, resulting in additional stress. Given that 2020 has brought on quite a bit of tension, here are 10 self care tips for the holidays to help you enjoy the holiday season (and the fast approaching new year). –
Below are some tips for you to read through and consider. You can take a couple of these ideas, all of them, or maybe they will inspire you to do something else.
Get Peace of Mind

Make Time For A Hobby
Set aside personal time every day or night. Especially when you are busiest! It sounds counter-intuitive but make time for a relaxing hobby such as Bonsai gardening.
Practice Gardening
This my my personal favorite, albeit nice weather is preferred! A cup of my favorite beverage, with a dash of CDB, and an hour in the garden is my best “medicine.” I recently planted bulbs in my new Zen garden dedicated to our daughter Erica. It should be beautiful this coming spring!

Watch Your Diet
Diet can impact stress and mood. While holiday treats are a favorite, be sure to keep the majority of your diet to clean eating. Or, indulge in one of my favorite comfort food recipes!
Exercise More
Keep moving. Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and keep healthy and work off some of the dark chocolate cake you just enjoyed! You don’t need to do an intense workout. Your exercise can be as simple as a walk around the block.
Practice Mindfulness
